The method

QuantumThrive Hub looks at you in four ways and compares what each one shows.

The Eigenprint Method is how QuantumThrive Hub works out what suits you in work, business or studies. Each way of looking at a person is called a lens. Robert Russell, a career and identity coach, compares what the four lenses show about you. A pattern in how you think and work counts for more when it shows up in more than one lens. This page goes through each lens, what it is based on and what it cannot tell you.

The four lenses

The four lenses, and what each one is

Your Eigenprint is the reading that four independent lenses on you produce when they are held together. Each lens is named here with where it comes from and what it can and cannot tell you.

Eigenprint Type. We built this assessment ourselves: five axes, and the language to describe them. It draws on Jung’s public-domain work on psychological types. It also draws on open research into traits that recur across populations. It describes how you take in information, how you decide, how you organise your work and how you respond under pressure.

Its limit: it describes preference, not ability. It has not yet been through a validation study. Read it as a considered description, not a measurement.

Eigenprint Path. Worked out from your birth date: a number’s position in a count. Its basis is symbolic, not empirical, and we use it for the questions it raises about you, not as evidence about you. It is good at naming a recurring theme that a preference framework does not reach.

Eigenprint Sky. Also worked out from your birth date, but read a different way: a position in a twelve-part cycle. Its basis is symbolic too. We do not claim predictive power for it. It describes your orientation and motivation.

Eigenprint Name. The most concrete of the four. Only the comprehensive build, the longer of the two artefacts, uses it. The focused build uses the other three lenses. Your given name and family name are traced to their documented linguistic roots. The roots are a matter of record, not interpretation. Where a name has no traceable root, or a contested one, Robert says so rather than fill it in.

Why four rather than one

Any single lens is easy to argue with, and it should be. The method does not rest on any one of them being right. It reads the four together, and it works with what recurs across them. A trait that appears in one lens and nowhere else carries less weight than one that appears in three.

So what counts is what the lenses agree on, not what any one of them says.

What we do with it

Robert brings the four lenses together into one portrait. Then he scores where you are now in work, business or studies against that portrait, on five weighted dimensions. You finish holding a description and a number, with the working shown.

How the four lenses are combined, how the scoring weights were set and how names are traced are not published. Those describe how the work is done, not what it is.

What the method supports

What the method supports

The method describes patterns in how you process, decide, recover and relate, and tests your current position against them. It gives you real data about yourself that you can check and test, so you can take your next step with confidence. The method does not tell you what will happen to you.

QuantumThrive Hub is a coaching practice. Where you describe a need that belongs with a licensed professional, Robert says so and refers you to the right kind of help.

The artefact gives you a portrait and a score, and you make the decision. The score rests on what you told Robert, so the more fully you answer, the more closely it fits your life.

Your Eigenprint Type describes how you prefer to work, and it never rules out a kind of work. Two people with the same Type can want different lives, so the method narrows the field and you choose within it.

What you need to believe

Do I need to believe in Path and Sky for this to work?

No. Eigenprint Path is worked out from your birth date as a number’s position in a count. Eigenprint Sky is also worked out from your birth date, but read as a position in a twelve-part cycle. Both are symbolic systems rather than empirical ones, and QuantumThrive Hub says so plainly rather than dressing them up.

Robert uses them for the questions they raise about you, not as evidence about you. You do not have to accept either of them for your portrait to hold, because the method works with what the four lenses agree on.
