Cookie and tracking notice
Effective date: 10 October 2026. Version 0.3.
This notice explains what we store on your device, what it does, and how you control it. Everything else we do with your information is in our Privacy notice.
1. What we use at launch
The site sets the cookies it needs to work, and saves a little on your device so you can pick up where you left off. One tool, Cloudflare Web Analytics, counts visits, and it sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device. No advertising or tracking pixel runs.
We set nothing else on your device, so we show no cookie banner. If that changes, we will update this notice first and ask for your permission before anything new loads.
2. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website places on your device, so you do not have to start again on every page and visit. Pixels, tags and local storage do similar jobs, and this notice covers them too.
3. What we use
3.1 What the site needs to work. Always on.
These make the site work. We cannot switch them off and we do not ask permission for them, because without them the site does not function.
| What it does | What it is | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| Keeps you signed in to your account | Cookie | For as long as you stay signed in |
| Carries you from one screen of the intake form to the next | Cookie | For the length of your visit |
| Remembers the moves you ticked and the guesses you made in the assessment | Local storage | Until you clear your browser’s storage |
The assessment notes stay on your device. We never receive them.
3.2 Counting visits
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, so we can see how many people read a page and which countries they come from. We get totals, such as visits, pages and countries. The tool sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device, and we cannot use it to recognise you on another site.
| Provider | What it does | What it stores on your device |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare Web Analytics | Counts visits, pages and countries in total | Nothing |
Because the tool stores nothing on your device and gives us only totals, we run it without asking you first.
3.3 Advertising
We use no advertising or tracking pixel on the site. We plan to advertise after launch. When we add a pixel, you will see a banner first, and rejecting will be as easy as accepting. The pixel will load only if you accept, and this notice will name it.
3.4 Pages and checks run by someone else
When you pay, you use pages hosted by Paystack. Paystack may set its own cookies on those pages. Its own notice applies there, and it is linked from our Privacy notice.
The sign-up and password reset forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that a real person, not a computer program, is filling in the form. Cloudflare receives your IP address (the number that identifies your device online) and details about your browser, such as its type. We do not keep anything from this check.
4. Your controls
In your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, in its settings under Privacy. If you block the cookies the site needs, parts of the site will stop working, including signing in.
Visit counting. If you would rather we did not count your visit, a content blocker or your browser’s tracking protection will stop the counting tool from loading. You lose nothing on the site without it.
5. Do Not Track
Browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal inconsistently, and there is no agreed standard for responding to it. We do not track you across sites, so the signal has nothing to switch off.
6. Legal basis
We set the cookies the site needs because we have a legitimate interest in running a working, secure website. We count visits because we have a legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used. Nothing is stored on your device, and only totals are kept. If we add an advertising tool later, we will ask for your consent, and you can withdraw it as easily as you gave it.
7. Changes
We update this notice when what we set changes. You can see which version applies from the version and effective date at the top. If we add a new kind of tracking, we will ask for your consent before it loads.
