A coaching session with Robert Russell: what happens in the 60 minutes and what you leave with

What happens in a coaching session with Robert Russell?

If you have taken the free Eigenprint Type Assessment and want to talk through your result with a person, a coaching session is where you do that. The session is one 60-minute video call with me, and you leave knowing which part of your Eigenprint to trust and which build, if any, fits what you want.

I’m Robert Russell, a career and identity coach, and I run QuantumThrive Hub in South Africa. I build an artefact by hand for each client who is deciding about work, a business or studies. The artefact rests on four lenses of you. A lens is one way of looking at you, and together the four lenses are your Eigenprint, the full picture of you that I build. The first lens is Eigenprint Type, which you have already met if you took the free assessment.

What we cover in the session

We start with your Eigenprint Type. You tell me where the result fits your week and where it does not, and I listen for the places where it fits less well. Those places are useful to me, because they show me what to ask next.

Then I show you two more lenses for the first time. Your Eigenprint Path is a reading worked out from your birth date. The date gives a number, and each number stands for a theme in how you go about things, such as bringing order to a mess. Your Eigenprint Sky is a second reading from the same date, taken from where the date falls in a yearly cycle of twelve parts. Sky describes what you are drawn to, such as working with people or building things. I give each one to you as a question about your own life, and you decide whether it holds.

By the end, you and I decide together whether a build suits what you want. If it does, we decide which one. If it does not, you have still had an hour with a coach who has read your result and asked you about it.

What a session rests on, and what it is for

The session rests on the same idea as every lens. A reading is a lens for reflection on theme and pattern, a place to start a conversation about you, and you test it against what you have done. You are the one who knows whether a theme has come back in your life, so the session gives you the room to check.

The same idea makes the session a good first step before a build. I build the artefact by hand, and what you say in the session tells me where to look. Both builds need a coaching session first, and you can book a session on its own without ever buying a build.

An example: a professional deciding whether to stay

Take a corporate professional four years into a role they run well. Their review went well, and their manager mentioned a bigger team next year. They are not sure they want it, and they have not said so to anyone.

Say we begin with their Eigenprint Type, and they tell me that the part about preferring to build things from scratch fits, while the part about enjoying a fixed routine does not. That gap is where we start. I ask them to describe the last time they lost track of time at work, and what they were doing.

They describe setting up a new reporting process in their second year. Nobody asked for it, and it took three weeks of evenings. When I show them their Sky, they hear a pull towards building new things, and it matches that story. They can now ask a more precise question than “Do I want the bigger team?” They can ask whether the bigger team would let them build, or only run what already exists.

They leave with that question, and a clearer view of whether to ask their manager about it or look at a different route. If they want more than one hour of this, we talk about a build.

How you book

You create an account and take the free Eigenprint Type Assessment first. Once you have your result, you book your session from your account, pay online and Robert contacts you to arrange a time. An account can book as many sessions as it likes. If you cancel or change your plans, the refund terms say what happens.

Questions people ask

Do you have to buy a build after a session?

No. A session stands on its own. You and I decide together whether a build fits, and the decision is yours.

Do I need to prepare anything?

Bring your Eigenprint Type result and one or two recent moments from your work or studies that you remember well. They give us real moments to test the readings against.

If you run your own business

Bring one week of your diary, or a list of what you did in the last month. Mark the days that felt like yours and the days that did not, and we use those marks to test your readings.

If you are choosing your own degree

Bring the subjects you enjoy and the ones you put up with. Your marks matter, and so does what you do without being asked, so bring both.

If you are a parent or guardian

If your child is under 18, you create and pay for the account, and your child answers the questions on it.

What a session leaves open

A session gives you a clearer question and a decision about what to do next. A build then answers the question. The focused build combines Eigenprint Type, Path and Sky, and gives you your three best directions, each scored, with where you are now on five measures, and a twelve-month roadmap. The comprehensive build adds Eigenprint Name and the timing work, your Personal Year and your Midheaven, which needs both your place of birth and your time of birth. I build the timing work into the roadmap so the roadmap gives you dates and not only lengths of time, and I add an estimate of what each step costs.
